Discord is most utilized cross-platform application among gamers. Discord is like other social applications that provide us with many magnificent features. It allows you to communicate with friends and people all over the world. On Discord, you can talk over, chat, voice, and video call. Sometimes, while playing games we don’t want to share our voice to others, so we want to mute the Discord microphone. Discord offers us two mic muting options, one push to mute and one toggle mute. You can add your favorite keys to mute the Discord.
How to Mute Someone on Discord?
You can mute any Discord user by following the given steps.
Step 1: Launch Discord
First, open Discord via Start menu:
Step 2: Open User Settings
Trigger the “Gear” icon to open the “User Settings”:
Step 3: Open Keybinds
Then navigate to the “Keybinds” section:
Step 4: Add a Keybind
Click on “Add keybind” and assign the action “Toggle Mute” and add keybind “Mouse1” by Mouse click:
Step 5: Assign a Keyboard Key
Add a keyboard key to the “Keybind” section. As we have added “1” to mute the mic:
Step 6: Mute the Mic
Now, press the key or mouse click that we added, and you can see that our mic has been disabled:
To mute the mic in Discord first, open Discord and launch “User Settings”. Then, navigate to the “Keybinds” and click on “Add a Keybind”, then add your favorite key from the keyboard and mouse click. Now, go back to the Discord window and press the key and your Discord mic will be muted.
